El Salvador national soccer team (スペイン語: selección de fútbol de El Salvador) is the national football team of El Salvador and is controlled by the El Salvador Football Federation (FESFUT). El Salvador was one of the earliest members of the CONCACAF to appear in the world stage. They have made twelve appearances in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, and two appearances in the CONCACAF Nations League.
El Salvador has competed in two FIFA World Cups, in 1970 and 1982. In 1970, they were drawn into a group with Belgium, Mexico and the Soviet Union. El Salvador lost all three of their matches in the group stage, losing 0–2 to the Soviet Union, 0–4 to Mexico, and 0–3 to Belgium. They were drawn into a group with Hungary, Argentina and Belgium in the 1982 FIFA World Cup. They again lost all three matches of their group, losing 1–10 to Hungary, 0–2 to Argentina, and 0–1 to Belgium.
El Salvador won the gold medal in the 1963 Central American and Caribbean Games. They were also runners-up in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 1977, 1981, 1989, and 2013.
